| Aloysius E. Helfrich is the husband of the late Lois Ann Helfrich (nee Gohs). He is the father of Al (Shannon Riley) Helfrich and Gene (Kim) Helfrich. Al has 6 grandchildren; Ryan, Jenna, Ashley, Austin and Sabrina Helfrich and Felicia Riley. He is the brother of the late Angela Charles. |
| Al is a veteran. He served in the Central Signal Corps School during WW II. He was also assigned to White Sands Proving Grounds to work on the V2 missile with Warner Von Brown. His burial ceremonies will be with military honors. |
| He is a retired Mechanical Engineer. He is a graduate of the Ohio Mechanics Institute, Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. He was employed for 28 years with Kirk & Blum Manufacturing. |
| He became a Ferry Boat Captain, taking people back and forth to Coney Island. Later he served as a B & B Riverboat Captain. He was also a member of the Power Squadron. |
