Jane is the wife of William Hickerton. They were married on June 14, 1957 at St. Clement Church in St. Bernard. She is the mother of Gregory Hickerton, Kimberly Spurlock, Michael Hickerton and Diane Ruehl, grandmother of Veronica, Jason, Nichole, Christina, Michael and Joseph. Sister of Richard Holtkamp, Janice Breig and Judith Handorf. Jane was preceded in death by her parents Wilbur Ott and Virgnai Rose (nee Baum) Holtkamp.

Jane worked for the Cincinnati Public Schools as a secretary.
