Interment: St. Joseph Old Cemetery with full military honors

Ken is the father of John (Jennifer) Metz and dear friend of Lori Allen. Ken was preceded in death by his parents Calmer & Estelle Metz.

Ken acquired his master degree in physics and was a physics professor at the University of Cincinnati (College of Applied Science). He retired this year after 38 years of teaching.

Ken loved the outdoors. He acquired his Eagle Scout and became a scout leader. For over 20 years he would arrange various outings and nature trips for others to obtain their Eagle Scout badge. Ken was an amateur pilot, scuba instructor teaching others how to dive in caves, enjoyed kayaking and backpacking across the nation.

In lieu of flowers the Metz family suggests memorials be made to the Boy Scout Troop #850 c/o St. Ignatius Church, 5222 North Bend Road, Cincinnati, OH 45247 or to the charity of your choice.
