Verna was the wife of Donald Connelly. They were married on April 17, 1956 at St. Leo Church. She was the mother of Don (Cathy) Connelly, Laurie (Stan) Staiger, Jim (Courtney) Connelly and Carol (Jim) Betz, grandmother of Joe & Jennifer Connelly, Eric & Amy Staiger and Brian Betz, sister of Frank Brinker. Verna was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Loretta (nee Reuter) Brinker and other siblings.

Verna worked as a medical secretary.

In lieu of flowers the Connelly family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263.
