Virginia was the beloved wife of Thomas Ransick. They were married on August 7, 1973 in Lawrenceburg, IN. She was the dear mother of Jennifer (George) Burbacher, Cheryl Markins and Susan Fike, loving grandmother of Mary Beth, Christina, Sara, Dawn, David and Melissa, great-grandmother of 4, sister of Joan Schum and the late Robert Gilb. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Margaret (nee Roether) Gilb.

Virginia was a register nurse and worked at St. Francis Hospital on Queen City Avenue for 35 years until her retirement in 1984. She enjoyed cross word puzzles, sewing and crocheting.

In lieu of flowers the Ransick family suggests memorials be made to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, PO Box 5202, Cincinnati, OH 45201.
