Bud was the beloved husband of Harriett (nee Wetzel) Cook for 68 years. They were married on November 20, 1941 at St. Teresa of Avila Church.

He was the dear father of Larry (late Diane) Cook, Deborah (Gary) Naber, Faye Straub, Pamela Cook and Beverlee (Pat) Stefancin, grandfather of 12, great-grandfather of 8. Bud was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence & Alma (nee Bemerer) Cook.

Bud was retired from the Berea City School System. He was the Transportation Supervisor.

Bud served in the US Army during WWII in the South Pacific. He enlisted in April 1941 and was honorable discharge in July 1945 at Camp Atterbury, IN. He obtained the rank of technical sergeant while serving with the 364th station hospital
