It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Benjamin Robert Kramer, known to many as Ben. A man of honor and dedication, he graced this world with his presence on February 21, 1962, in Middletown, Ohio, and passed away on June 11, 2023, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was 61 years old.
A veteran of the US Army, Ben served with distinction and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon his honorable discharge, he dedicated his life to law enforcement, serving at the Carlisle Police Department, Lebanon Correctional Institute, Butler County Sheriff Office, Ross Township Chief of Police, Cincinnati State Police, and TriHealth Protective Services. He was a firearm instructor, police academy commander, CCW instructor, and weapons range master.
Ben was a devoted husband to Donna Kramer and loving father to Joshua Sprinkles and Tommy Kramer. He was also survived by his father, Ben Kramer Sr, and his brother, Dan Kramer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Kramer. He was a man of great family values.
Ben began his education at Madison Elementary and continued at Madison High School. He went on to pursue higher education at Cincinnati State. He worshipped at Towne Blvd Church of God, where he found comfort and peace.
In his spare time, Ben enjoyed playing guitar and piano, traveling, golfing, and riding his Harley. He was a man of many interests and lived his life to the fullest.
Arrangements for Ben's services are yet to be determined, but we know that he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
