Obituary

Edward Allen Wolf passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was 82. He was born June 6, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Edward and Tessie Mae Wolf of Deer Park, Ohio where he attended Deer Park High School. He excelled in academics and sports lettering in 4 sports and was First- Team All- City in football. Edward is an alumni of The University of Cincinnati, a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and Sigma Sigma Honorary Society and a team member lettering in football and baseball. Edward also signed with the Houston Colt 45’s minor league system. He earned his MBA at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management Lake Forest, IL in 1985 and had an extensive executive career in Sales and Marketing including being the Director of the Port of Wilmington in Wilmington, DE. He also served proudly In the Army Reserve National Guard. In his retirement, he was a member of Southern Gateway Chorus and was inducted into Buddy LaRosa’s Sports Hall of Fame in 1987 and Deer Park Hall of Fame 1990. Edward is survived by his loving spouse Mary Jo (Schuerman) Wolf; loving children, Wendy Wolf Monroe, Michael (Jill) Wolf and Leslie (Jeff) Wolf Devlin. He will also be deeply missed by his 5 grandchildren Michael Christopher and Macy Wolf, Ilaina, Ian and Isabel Monroe as well as his brother Jonathan W. Wolf of Deer Park, Ohio. Edward was, most importantly, a man who cherished his family. His life focus was to love and support his wife and children and grandchildren. He will be forever loved. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The University of Cincinnati Athletic Scholarship Fund or Hospice of Cincinnati.
