Mary H. Zawaski

Mary Helen Zawaski (Keating) age 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 20th, 2023.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Norbert F. Zawaski, and cherished Mother of five. The late Norbert Zawaski Jr (Skip), wife Debra (Reynolds), Theresa Nash husband Michael, Kenneth Zawaski, wife Lisa (Otto), Phillip Zawaski, wife Beth (Alley), and Maricia White, husband Robert. Mary is survived by 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandchild.

Mary Helen Zawaski from Cincinnati, was born on December 31st, 1929, to parents George Keating and Helen Pink. She had 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Mary attended Our Lady of Mercy High School and graduated in 1947, where her classmates found her to be, “ a kindly charitable sympathetic person”. Mary married Norbert F. Zawaski on May 1st 1948 in Cincinnati Ohio and settled in Green Township.

Mary’s kindhearted spirit, creativity and attitude towards life allowed her to reach many of her own goals. Mary was an accomplished business owner, specializing in the art of selling fine China and high-end crystal and tableware's. Mary opened Vintage Patterns Unlimited and soon became an expert in her field. Mary's business catered to customers across the United States and around the world.

Mary's contribution to society will never be forgotten. Mary was thoughtful, understanding, patient and selfless. Mary had a passion for helping others in their time of need.  Mary embodied and lived by the "One Day at a Time " motto for over 50 years and has encouraged us all to live with the same sense of purpose.

Mary's life was full of family, success, love and happiness. Mary's spirit will remain a vigilant reminder of how we should treat others and she will be sadly missed.

Services will be at St Ignatius Loyola Church 5222 N Bend Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45247

Visitation will be held May 3rd at 10:30am with a 11:00 am Mass to follow. Celebration of life following Mass.
