Our Heritage

The Rebold Family entered into the funeral business in the South Fairmount neighborhood of Cincinnati in 1882. It continued to operate through 4 generations of the family. The first location, at the corner of Harrison and Westwood , at the foot of the Western Hills Viaduct still stands today. The funeral home was moved a short distance to the corner of Queen City and Grand Avenue and flourished as the neighborhood grew around St. Bonnaventure Church.

In 1921, the Cheviot location, which was built as a funeral home and family residence was completed. This location has been the mainstay of the family business.

Over the years, the funeral home was remodeled and expanded, adding rooms to the north and west side of the building, in order to continue to provide a modern and comfortable environment for the families who called for services.

The services do not end at the conclusion of the funeral, but will continue through the days and months after the service, with contact from our AfterCare/Breavement Service Coordinator, support groups andspecial grief and bereavement programs.

In August 2006 our services were expanded again, with the addition of a crematory. Our own trained staff completes the cremation, right here at our facility. When you ask us for cremation services, there are no other 3rd parties involved. Your loved one comes to our facility and stays with us, until they are cremated and returned to you or taken to an area cemetery.
